Lupe Fiasco has released his new mixtape today, Friend of the People. It was released as a thank you from Lupe to his fans. This was suppose to originally drop around Christmas of ’09, but was put on pause as Lupe went to Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness for global water crisis. Back to the First Time with Luda
Ludacris is finally back with a new mixtape titled, 1.21 Gigawatts Back to the Frist Time. This mixtape is to hype up his upcoming album which is suppose to release early 2012. Chicago’s very own, Lupe Fiasco, has been all over the radio this past year. He intends to keep that trend going with his Thanksgiving Mixtape entitled, Friend of the People. Putting the ILL in skrILLex
PockX is a Wisconsin-native producer who happened to do a live edit of Skrillex’s “Bangarang” song. This is a super hot edit on an already hard song. For those who don’t know, Skrillex is an artist is known for “dubstep, electro and glitch all mixed together.” Keep an eye out and your ears opened as you’ll be seeing and hearing more of Skrillex’s dopeness in the near future.
Hip-hop goes Dubstep in “Strange Clouds”
Dubstep is slowly taking over the music industry. Here at Amplified Boarding, we have no problem with that and are kicking back and enjoying the new hip hop gone dubstep tracks. This is a new track by B.O.B. ft. Lil’ Wayne called “Strange Clouds.” The vid will be released Oct. 3rd, so keep your eyes peeled for it. Until then, peep the song!

R Dot is doing big things up at USC, running the music program, as well making a huge name for himself. Another song was dropped a few days ago by Dr. Dre. This time, he features both Eminem and Nas on the track. It’s called “Topless,” and it looks like it could be another single from the Detox album. These recent track releases could be hinting that the Detox album is for reals and that it could actually be dropping very soon! Keep your fingers crossed!… We know we are.

Kanye West has finally released his mini-film, Runaway, to the public. It is a 35 minute video and it displays an artistic perspective to Kanye’s song. The narration is done by Nikki Minaj, and as for the Phoenix, it is played by Selita Ebanks. If you haven’t had the time to watch this video, please take the time now to peep it below! It is an incredible film, displaying a side of Kanye that we have yet to see before. It is a masterpiece!

Pittsburg’s finest, Wiz Khalifa, has recently released his first single off his new album soon to debut. This track, “Black and Yellow,” is his first major label debut since signing with Rostrum/Atlantic Records. Wiz Khalifa is known for being one of the kings of mixtapes and for his involvement in the indie genre, but he is soon to explode as a major mc in the business. Big Boi + Andre 3000 = Outkast!
Every hip-hop lover grew up enjoying the awesome sounds and style of Outkast. They truly were something different to the hip-hop community, providing us with great entertainment and music. Since Andre 3000 and Big Boi decided to put Outkast on hold several years ago, and pursue each of their individual careers, it just hasn’t been the same.
